盖庐一部很有价值的兵书。其中的盖庐即吴王阖闾、申胥为伍子胥。《汉书·艺文志》分兵家为四：兵权谋、兵形势、兵阴阳、兵技巧。“五子胥十篇”，则《盖庐》无疑属于兵技巧一派，也是现存能见到的最早的兵技巧著作。从《左传》等典籍来看，伍子胥，即使不是兵技巧家的始祖，至少也是重要的代表人物。
