《救荒本草》明永乐四年（公元1406年）刊刻于开封，是一部专讲地方性植物并结合食用方面以救荒为主的植物志。全书分上、下两卷。记载植物414种，每种都配有精美的木刻插图。其中出自历代本草的有138种，新增276种。从分类上分为：草类245种、木类80种、米谷类20种、果类23种、菜类46种，按部编目。
